Bookworm's Wishlist YA Fiction

It’s quite unusual to find an author, whose all novels would speak to me. Rainbow Rowell is one of those authors. I’ve loved every single book by her I’ve read. Fangirl, Carry On with Simon & Baz, Eleanor & Park a.s.o.

Carry on by Rainbow Rowell 2015

All her books have characters, who are far from perfect. They really have those quirks all the writing guides tell you to create for your characters. But they’ don’t feel at all calculated. They feel genuine and warm, easy to relate to. Even Simon Snow and Baz in Carry On – a kind of a parody and fantasy with an incredibly beautiful love story included. How likely is it to find that kind of combination in one book? Let alone, how likely would it work so amazingly as it does in Carry On?

Well, after all this praise, it’s hardly a surprise that I’m going to include all Rainbow Rowell’s novels in my Bookworm’s Wishlist. And to add to that: the new Runaways comics by Marvel, which Rainbow Rowell is now writing.
