The main characters of this scifi adventure are Marko and Alana, representing different species on war with each other. They meet when Marko is captured in a battle and Alana becomes his guard. But they find out that they are not as different after all. What ensues is a dangerous romance, which turns into a hot pursuit as they have to flee from the enemies to protect their newborn daughter.

In the second book, Alana and Marko meet Marko’s parents – soldiers themselves – and conflict is inevitable. But as life is always complex, even for scifi graphic novel characters, both the MCs and the parents-in-law get to surprise the reader. The mysteries of the story unfold with Staple’s sublime drawings and leave one to long for more of this beautiful, but brutal world.
